The mind. It boggles. How could you prove someone DIDN’T exist in an era of which we have almost no records? No atheist thinks the cities in the Bible are all made up! Couldn’t you just flip it all and say, hey, prove this DID happen? Because when things really happen there’s usually evidence, as opposed to when things don’t happen, which tends to not leave much evidence behind. I just… all of these “what NOW, atheists???” things are so unbelievably devoid of sense that it makes my head hurt.

I usually ignore obviously stupid and ignorant things like this but I have to point out that atheism has nothing to do with whether or not shit in the Bible actually happened. Atheism, as in the opposite or negative of theism, concerns itself with the belief that god/gods does/do not exist. Proving the events, places, and persons in the Bible to be real is a concern for anthropologists and historians.
Shit like this made me want to strangle everyone in religion classes and scriptures class in high school. Ironic that the atheist walked away from Scriptures with an A while the supposedly devout Christians and Catholics in the class merely scraped by.
